Why does a pond game require multiple currencies?

Why any currency at all? I downloaded this for my cat...do people even want to clean their real fish filters? That is not fun. Two of three fish in my pond are frozen in a stationary position. Maybe I have to buy fish movements? This "game" is a joke.
